one and a half men

This past weekend was a mens' weekend because mama was on a girls' weekend in Austin for a friend's wedding. Always a terrifying challenge to be alone with my little man because it turns out that I need mama as much as Zane does. But, we made it through with only minor bumps and bruises. The first couple days were a little hectic running him to daycare in the mornings and back in the evenings to get him fed, bathed, and down for bed at a reasonable hour. But, we had a good time!

On Saturday, we had a great time cheering on the Michigan Wolverines ("Go Boooo!!") despite a disappointing loss that came right down to the wire. Here's Zane with his Denard Robinson jersey that should fit for at least another season or two:


We also had a nice brunch on Saturday with Kimberly at America's favorite hot spot, Denny's, while Tal was out of town at a conference. And on Sunday, Kevin and Amy were kind enough to watch Zane for a few hours while I flew out to Dallas and his mama was flying back into town from her girls' weekend missing her sweet baby. In the end, we had a great mens' weekend and I'm looking forward to more...just not immediately so I can decompress from the stress! He's a good kid :)
