mini bookworm

Zane's been keeping busy this week grabbing, laughing, and blowing bubbles.  He likes to grab onto hair, faces, toys, and Molly's fur - pretty much anything he can get ahold of.  And anything that does end up in his hand, you can be sure he's going to try to shove it in his mouth.  If that doesn't work, two or three fingers will do.  Oh, he's also been busy reading, as you can see in the picture.

We tried out his sleep sack last night for the first time after talking to his doctor about how he might be ready to sleep unswaddled.  It went surprisingly well, and night number 2 with arms free is going even more smoothly so far... he's so grown up!  As long as he doesn't whack himself in the head while he's sleeping... we should all sleep pretty well.

Yesterday we went to go cheer on Dad at the Rock 'n Roll Seattle half marathon.  We caught a glimpse of him along Lake Washington as he ran by:

We met him at the finish line to congratulate him and celebrate.  Zane was excited for his Dad, but didn't want to rub it in too much that he'd already run the same race last year at about -32 weeks old... even if we were a little bit slower.
