Zane made it to Texas in time for Babypalooza 2011 - surely the biggest event of the year! After hopping on a plane to Houston, he spent the evening with Grandma and Grandpa before arriving at the weekend's festivities at Lake Livingston. Zane got to meet two of the most important ladies in his life - Dinny and Lana!!!
He had a great time running around outside (and actually took some real running steps!), watching the big birds, playing with the tether ball ("BALL!!!"), and otherwise being generally busy. Although he didn't get to get in the lake since it was unusually cool and windy, Zane had a fantastic first lake trip.
Zane now gets to spend the whole week with Grandma and Grandpa. So far on our trip, Zane's favorite word has been "Wow!" He breaks it out a lot, but especially for ceiling fans. We'll see if they lose any of their allure by the end of the week. :)
Before we left home, Zane had started saying "light" and "cracker." He's even been saying "thank you" on our trip, which I think is pretty exciting. He did pretty well on our flight here, especially considering he doesn't really ever sit still. He fell asleep at take off and slept for almost half of our 4 hour flight while draped across our laps. Then he woke up, and things got a little more interesting. He played peek a boo with the couple behind us, waved at another couple a few rows away, read a few books, and gradually looked more and more like a caged wild animal. :) Thankfully all three of us made it in one piece!
We have a publishing company!
