Zane's fever is finally gone!!! It feels like it lasted forever, but he woke up yesterday morning fever free and stayed that way all day. We were going to have to go back to the doctor if it came back, but thankfully he finally kicked it. It was his hottest and longest fever. Not exactly a fun first!
I stayed home with Zane on Monday and Tuesday, but his daddy's work week wasn't slowing down enough for him to work from home. Have no fear.... do do do dooooo.... Grandpa was here to save the day! The bonus of standby travel - he arrived Tuesday night to hang out with Zane while we were at work on Wednesday and Thursday. It was hard to leave him while he was under the weather but Grandpa sent us updates throughout the day.
Since Zane's fever was gone all day yesterday, he was able to go back to daycare today. His friends were very tickled to see him. He got a couple of very sweet hugs from his little girl friend, and she even tugged on his foot a few times when I was still holding him. Very cute! The other two boys that are part of the Three Amigos gave him big grins. :)
We're looking forward to getting back on a normal sleep schedule this weekend (fingers crossed!) and celebrating Molly's 4th birthday tomorrow!!
