The Monday before Thanksgiving, the big brother book was still in favor for Zane, and he decided that he wanted "to hold Caden reasonably." It turned out that meant holding Caden while standing up, not sitting in a chair. I tried to explain that Caden's only about 10 pounds lighter than him, but he was determined. Caden was a good sport and let Zane try to hold him (while I was spotting!), but as I let Zane handle more of the weight himself, he decided going back to the chair might be a good idea.

Thanksgiving morning, while daddy was busy working and getting ready for Friday, the boys and I met up with one of our favorite families at a nearby park for a play date to burn off some energy before heading to dinner at friends' houses.

We had a great time and successfully burned lots of energy! Later that day, we enjoyed dinner with some Amazonian friends. We have a lot to be thankful for with these two munchkins. During the drive to dinner, we were all talking, and at one point, we ended up talking over Zane, which made him blurt out, "I'M TALKING!!!" It made us laugh, and we all got to make our respective points in the conversation. On Friday, the boys and I decorated the tree while daddy was at work, and we got the outside decorations up over the weekend.

That weekend, the boys went for a drive together for the first time, and we visited with Santa. Zane blurted out that he wanted a red helicopter that spins and goes up in the air (otherwise known as a remote control helicopter) before he even sat in his lap. Caden, on the other hand, had different feelings about the whole situation.
