happy 8 weeks!!!

Zane is 8 weeks old today!  He's got his 2 month check up in a few days, so we'll find out how big he's gotten when we get a new official weight and length.  He's starting to reach towards things, like his books during story time.  They're not the most graceful of movements, but they seem intentional... at least to us.  Our little man is also throwing a few real "goos" into his conversations now and then along with the ever eloquent gurgles and grunts.  I also got him to mimic a kissy face the other day, so I was pretty tickled about that! Who knew that making funny faces could be such a fun game?  Well, now that everyone knows I spend my days making goofy faces and chatting in response to grunts... here's a picture of Zane reading to a few of his furry friends today (he's so advanced!!!):
