Monday February 18th was Presidents' Day, so the boys and I had the day off. The highlight of the day was baking cookies for Zane to share with his class the next day to celebrate. We used the truck cookie cutter, and Zane picked out green and a pinkish purple for icing colors. We added sprinkles for good measure:

We moved Caden's jumper to the kitchen so that he could be part of the baking fun:

They turned out yummy:

The next day, Zane turned 3 years old, and he was as excited as a brand new three year old should be! He got a crown at school and wore it all day. Here he is wearing it while trying out his new big kid scissors:

He also got a giant card from grandma and grandpa, complete with a giant envelope:

We celebrated with cupcakes after dinner, and the next afternoon, we hit the road to Whistler (aka, "whistle-er"). It was Caden's first adventure out of the country! We brought cupcakes with us to continue the birthday celebrations with our friends. We had fun stomping around in the snow:

Caden stayed warm and cozy in the ergo and his big fleece bunting:

Due to a lucky coincidence, we were in town at the same time Uncle John was there for a work retreat. We met up with him in the Village:

And then Zane passed out in a bar for the first time at the ripe old age of 3. That's what happens when you refuse to take a nap!

We headed back home on Saturday afternoon, the same day Caden turned 7 months old! The boys did a joint photo shoot (it wasn't very orderly, but I took what I could get!):

And it's nearly impossible to get Zane on the t shirt now. He is old enough to shave after all (another fun gift!):
