first tattoo

Monday March 25th, Zane started off the week by getting a tattoo! His friend Eamon sent him one in the mail, so he had to put it on to show his friends at school on Monday morning. It was his very first temporary tattoo. I also moved to our new office that day. I have a (very) peekaboo view of the Needle now:

Something big and exciting happened before swim class on Tuesday... Zane peed in the potty! I had given up asking him for a while, and it was all his own idea. I think it had something to do with his swim diaper being like a pull up. The next morning I asked if he wanted to use the potty when he said he had to poop. He said, "No! Don't see me!!!" And then hid in his closet for a minute. That was a first :)

We also had a visitor! Justin Mackie! Zane may have called him by just his first name once while he was in town. :) It was also Easter weekend, so that gave us some fun activities while the big boys took a day trip to Vancouver on Saturday.

We got to dye eggs, and Zane, Caden and I had a picnic lunch in the backyard. I couldn't get any pictures of our picnic though because my hands were busy the whole time. We were happy with our final products (we lost a few to some crushing casualties), and amazingly, Zane wasn't dyed many different colors like I thought he would be:

On Easter Sunday, Zane and I attempted to go for a run together down at Alki. I half jogged/walked and he rode his balance bike for almost a couple miles. We had a few stops though to check out fun things, like this kite:

Then we all went over to Colleen's house for an Easter egg hunt! It was lots of fun, and Zane scored more candy and stickers.

That was on top of the fun treats the Bunny brought. The bunny brought fun T-shirts, books and treats for the boys, and he even remembered us

That afternoon, we went to a late brunch at Salty's, and I snapped one picture of Caden in his button down in the car:

Our 35 week old tried yellow squash and cauliflower for the first time. Both were yummy, but Caden really liked the cauliflower. He also had a really rough time staying asleep at night for most of the week. There was no obvious reason why, and I kept expecting to see a new tooth. Still no teeth...
