A lot happened the week of June 17th! Zane had his first swim class without me in the pool with him on Tuesday. I did have to stand directly behind his spot, just a few feet away though. To prove that he wasn't getting too big, Zane proved that he could still fit in the exersaucer, which he climbed into on his own, and the high chair. He looks giant!

Caden started scooting himself a lot faster too. So much so that Zane panicked when he realized we had left the gate open at the top of the stairs. He took off running to close it (while yelling, "No! Caden! No!"), well in advance of Caden's arrival into the hallway. Whew! Caden also always seemed to scoot even faster when Molly's water bowl was in sight. Which also got Zane yelling "No, Caden!!" all over again. You always have to be vigilant when you're a big brother.
Caden also pulled himself up to standing on his own for the very first time on Wednesday, in the bathtub no less. Nothing like a slippery bathtub to practice standing in ;)
That Saturday morning was the Rock n Roll half marathon. It was rough since my training wasn't very consistent. I came in at 2 1/2 hours... 8 minutes slower than my previous slowest time, when I was pregnant with Zane! Thankfully, Zane spotted one of his friends from school that was waiting for her mom near the finish line - we hobbled together behind the dads and kids on the, way to the car!
Caden capped the week off by turning 11 months old on Sunday, but the highlight, for me at least, was Caden saying "mama!"
